The Grinch

Last night we went to Cape Coral's holiday boat show. My favorite lighted boats were a boat made up to look like a Santa's hat, a pontoon boat made up to look like Santa's sleigh and finally, a kayak that had a wire lighted Christmas tree in the middle of it. Afterwards, we watched the movie playing, "How the Grinch stole Christmas". Holiday traditions are so much fun. Below is a short video clip from the boat show (sorry so shaky):

The Guard

The Guard
For Project: Glimpse Task #10 Outside my window:

I took this photo of the beautiful stain glass at my church. The sun was setting behind this image, and you may slightly be able to see an image of a Florida palm tree outside (if viewed in the large size).

This was from "The Resurrection" scene. It is the guard who was protecting Jesus' tomb. Various stories are told, some that the guard was sleeping, some he was dead with fear, but regardless, I feel it captures our feelings of uncertainty when life throws us unanticipated overwhelming challenges.

Trust

I snapped this quick photo as the skywriter wrote his story. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for the wind to change the word "Trust" to something that was illegible. Coincidentally, the American flag ended up being in my photo too.

The question of trust has come up a lot in these past 6 years since 9/11. So much has changed because of a lack of it: airport security, increased stereotypes, etc. It is amazing how one thing that is truly intangible can have such a magnificent effect on so much.

The Overlooked Tree

For Project: Glimpse Task #9 Trash:

Every day when walking the dogs, I always admire this beautiful tree. Yet, I often feel rather sad for her; few will ever notice her true beauty because she is hidden behind two recycle bins and a garbage bin. Do you ever feel like this - beautiful on the inside but surrounded by an environment or aura that simply makes you feel like trash?

Holidays and Family

This time of year often brings about memories and times with family. Although sometimes it is impossible to be with them, they are always close in our hearts.

Joy of Coffee

Ever since I can remember, my dad always has had a cup of joe in his hand. Although my habit isn't that bad, I do enjoy coffee everyday. I believe the habit started when I was 15 working those 5 am shifts at a local donut shop. I now drink decaf otherwise I would never be able to sleep. To me, coffee is best on a cold, snowy day yet since I live in South Florida and do not see any of those days (that is, unless I choose to), I will enjoy a cup regardless!

Teamwork

This past weekend, my husband and I watched NCSU win the Old Spice Tournament in Orlando. With the games played at Disney's Wide World of Sports, some of our off time was spent in the Disney parks. Of course, the majority of time was spent walking our dogs; one who had a bad case of the runs. We acted as a team to make sure that we both enjoyed the time - him, the games and me, Magic Kingdom & Epcot. Teamwork isn't just for the courts, it makes our daily lives more enjoyable.
