Accentuate the Positive
My husband and I live in a true-fixer upper. In our remodeling process, we have often found it is easier to learn what NOT to do rather than what to do. Fortunately, our home is very forgiving. For example,
- If the new drywall doesn't look perfect, the paint will help cover it up.
- If the new paint doesn't look perfect, the molding will cover it up.
- If the molding doesn't distract the eye enough, the furniture, flooring and pictures on the wall will cover it up.
If we were to focus on those small imperfections, we would never get a chance to enjoy the completed project. Similarly in our own lives, we should concentrate on our whole package rather than our few limitations.
